So, my mother in law is throwing a her usual huge Halloween Bash. I mean this thing is ridiculous over the top, and I still don't get why she loves the holiday so much. But anyhow, my husband and son usually go as I stay home (I pay for this during the holidays trust me). I don't know I like getting my boys ready but for me its just eh. I just put on a witch hat and hand out candy and bake "spooky" deserts for my lil one and his class. This year I can't back out.
There's the little issue of us you know LIVING with my husband parents at the moment. So I can't back out and she's super excited but I have no idea what to dress up as. The kid is and as he always wants to be a race car driver and the husband is dressing up as Bane from the Dark Knight. He wants me to be Catwoman. He's out of his mind since I've gained some weight this past year, no way. Everyone is so excited, and as usual I'm meh on it but running out of time as the good costume stores are running out of good costumes. I've gotten a thousand suggestions but nothing has made me go "Yay!".
Oh and this a big deal, like competitively a big deal to this woman. If her family looks anything less then spectacular to her "friends" there will be a big epic meltdown,lol. I mean she's been so amazing as always to me so I want to "live up to her standards" but the whole thing is dragging me down. Thanksgiving and Christmas, now that I'm deputy top dog for those events but this is just different I guess. Any suggestions?
Do anybody here celebrate Halloween? Is it a big deal?
