Surgery is Tuesday. The good news is that this type of cancer is not known to spread so she is only looking at 6 weeks of radiation. She has two masses...one is very far back and could not be reached during her biopsy. The Surgeon said she will have a mammo right before surgery and they will do a needle biopsy during the surgery so that they can be sure it is the same type.
Thoughts, prayers and positive energy would be great. This makes 2 sisters out of 4. She is going to have genetic testing done.
My (other) sister and I are due for our mammograms at the end of November.
Cancer sucks.
