I started that way, but along the way, I'm invested in the characters.
I guess I can sort of see what you're saying but it just didn't flow like that for me. It feels like I've got to reach too hard to get to where you are with it. And I've always enjoyed that the writing on this show was such that I didn't have to reach to see the characters and what they were thinking and learning on their journey. Add to it, that it's an old theme. That concerns me a bit. That the new writer wants too much to go back to the monster of the week and bail on the story that is already there. That he wants to rehash old ground all over again. I was not thrilled with the writing for Sam in the premiere and this sort of compounds the reservations I have about the new writer.
Sorry, I rambled. Suffice it to say, I'll be happy to see the boys more onscreen next week.
