Joss Whedon? Sam Mendes just did Skyfall and its getting huge reviews. And just think of the Star Wars director/writer fans who'd want to scale things back and go more old school in the tradition of the originals? More focus on story and less on CGI?

Lucas was the biggest thing standing in the way of genuine hope for a new Star Wars franchise. Now he's graciously moved out of the way. The sky is the limit.
