This is correct.
I have a dish of peppermints on my desk. You can buy these particular kind of peppermints anywhere. But apparently when lawyers, cops, social workers, etc., see them on my desk, they go into some kind of feverish panic and, fearing that they will never see these kind of mints again, stuff their pockets full of them.
I think if you are making about TEN times what I make, it wouldn't kill you to bring in a $5 bag of mints once in a while. The ONE time an officer actually did that, it was just because he wanted help on a speeding ticket his niece got, LOL.
