They're a better team than Jacksonville and I do believe he thought he could either beat out Sanchez, or that he would eventually take over if/when Sanchez started losing games.
Now that he's not starting, he's not getting as much publicity. There's no Tebow-mania this year because he's not starting and winning.
I think NYJ will miss the playoffs and Rex Ryan will be fired. Then Woody Johnson will bring in a coach who will want to play Tebow. It's obvious now that bringing Tebow was Woody's idea and not Rex Ryan's.
