just be handed a starting job on any team is ridiculous. He's not a "if we get him he's definitely going to be named the starter" caliber-player.
I'm not saying that I'm positive he WOULD beat Gabbert in a competition but more so that that's a place where he could. Granted I haven't seen much of Gabbert lately, but I think that Jax is the place where he'd have the best chance of actually competing for the position and winning, in part because he has such a large following in Florida. If it's between two QBs and neither is that great I could see a team going with the player who sells more tickets.
