I stopped watching last night, the minute they ousted Willie Jones. And here's the problem (in my opinion, of course). I'm a fan of this kid and I'm
glad they kicked him off. Kindest thing the universe could have done for the guy. His mentor, Demi Lovato, had no clue what to do with him in terms of song choice, staging, styling or performance. She was lost. So he was lost. And rather than watch this sensitive, earnest, ambitious and talented young man be tortured by his mentor's (and, imo, the entire show's) incompetence when it comes to nurturing new artists? I'd prefer it if he walked today. Which he did. And I did. And Simon's got some real trouble on his hands if he thinks that's the way to ratings gold.
They missed the boat on Willie Jones. And what Brittany Spears is doing to Carly Rose Sonenclar? Is equally criminal. And, no, I don't believe LA Reid has changed his opinion of the Over 25 category he's been given to mentor. I think he still hates it. And it shows.
