were waiting until the last minute to get their Halloween supplies or else just couldn't resist taking advantage of a 70% off sale. I fell into both categories--I wound up not buying my Halloween candy until yesterday (just in case we get slammed--I have candy I won all ready to go, but I'm not sure if the delayed trick or treating will keep kids at home or bring 'em out in droves). Today, I got a headstart on next year's Halloween care packages; I bought three pair of earrings for just over $2 and two pair of cute, knee-high Halloween socks (the only kid who'll be getting a care package next year likes to wear her socks mismatched) for $1.50 each. And I picked up some Halloween garland to drape over the door just to make things a little more festive.
Sometime it pays to be a procrastinator...
