...heat in my apt has always been spotty, but my landlord has also been good about getting it fixed (we have steam heat, it goes through a thermostat for the entire building). Now, he's no longer responding to calls/texts and the temperature is hovering in the 30s. I have a space heater (thanks, Sandy refugees!) but it's not enough.
I feel bad complaining at all, because I've had power through the storm and aftermath, but it is so cold in my apt that my hands are cramping. I should ask for a rent reduction, right? This is ridiculous.
