Then she just pulls out pieces from the center of the bread, and we dip the bread in the wine. I think it's probably actually grape juice, but you know I honestly think that is something that *should* be wine. Jesus didn't hold up a cup of juice at the last supper, after all. But it has been years since I've been at a church that had wine - I think the last one that had the little cups had the two or three outer rows as juice, and the inner rows were wine, so we could pick.
I realized today that I won't be at church the entire month - we *completely* overslept today (even with the extra hour I have slept terribly the last few nights and I just could not drag myself out of bed), next Sunday I have to work mornings so I can't make it (hopefully hubby will), and the weekend after that we're leaving on Saturday to go to NC for Thanksgiving, and are staying the entire week and leaving on Monday. I may try and go either to my brother's church in the next town over with him, or go to the church I grew up in (no one in my family goes there now, though, and haven't for over a decade). I was really bummed when I realized that. :(
When does advent start? Is it on the 25th or the 2nd of December?
