December 2. Our church doesn't recognize Advent, so I had to look it up.
We do the grape juice because our church frowns on alcohol. I once heard an interesting sermon that postulated Jesus turned the water to grape juice, not wine--everyone made (and drank wine) only because with the heat and lack of refrigeration, juice wouldn't keep for any length of time. Jesus supposedly made the water into grape juice, which was more impressive to the wedding guests than mere wine would've been...
