contestants. They do a Dancing with the Stars rip-off and use local dancing people with local "celebrities". The local news was one of the main sponsors and even hosted the voting page on their website. One of their staff was a contestant and he's the only one that they have talked about in the months leading up to the event.
I turned on the news at 5 because they posted on facebook that they would have event coverage. All they showed was their employee (who didn't even win), how much money was raised and then proceeded to show facebook photos of the rest of their staff at the event. They didn't bother to mention the person who did win or any of the other contestants. I went to their facebook page and there was already a comment about the lack of coverage for other contestants so I commented also. A station employee posted that the reason for the story was about how much money was raised. I commented that <their contestant> didn't raise the money by himself and that they could have taken the time that they were showing the facebook pics of everyone on their staff to actually show the other contestants instead. And that their coverage of a local event that they sponsored was disappointing, which is becoming a habit with their station.
Now there's comments about "ugghh the hatred in this valley ALL the time" which I'm guessing is probably inspired by the blue Virginia next to my name. Just a guess though. :)
