Tonight I was watching L&O and about halfway through I thought "this plot seems familiar..." -- but not familiar like I'd seen it, just like... I knew what was going to happen. It was about a widow who had remarried quickly after her husband's death - married a friend of her husband's. Anyway, it comes out that he'd been obsessed with her and killed his friend/her husband to clear his way. And at the very end, Adam Schiff says to Jack McCoy "It's got to be tough, finding out you married your stalker."

And I realized -- I haven't seen this episode. I've been told about this episode. Because I have a friend who loves that last line. So much that when I texted that quote from a decades-old episode of L&O she could still tell me the whole plot and referred to the line as "The awesome line of awesome from a great episode of Law & Order".

Since it's the end of the year and Mo Ryan was playing "Best lines of 2012" on Twitter today (My remains "Jingle Bells! Jingle Yay! Jingle good for you!" from Parks & Recreation) I thought it would be a fun topic. What lines from TV shows have really stuck with you?

I have to say, when the 4th episode of Angel aired, I had no idea how long I'd still be using the phrase "big fluffy puppy with bad teeth".
