that has been on countless shows and movies for decades, and all are defined by the characters and relationships, not the super general basis of friends hanging out.

Maybe they're ALL a ripoff of Three's Company!

Plus, I saw Living Single as very girlfriend specific, whereas Friends focused on the guys just as much.
