The first was a house where they started digging around in the basement and found out that a sewage line was set up wrong so it cost the family another $10K in remodeling - they found a bigger house elsewhere though I was surprised, I thought they were going to stay. But because of the sewer problem they didn't really touch any of the problems on the second floor so I did see that the new place would be better for them.
In this one, they did do a really gorgeous renovation, but the realtor found a place that was much bigger (five bedrooms, I think their current house only had three, possibly only two - their daughter had a bedroom in the basement that didn't have a proper door). It was higher than their original budget, but the house was perfect for them, completely renovated, big kitchen, and with the remodeling they would get more $ for their old house.
