never ending series of plot points, wrapped up in pretty people, for cheap thrills and with negative characterization, but seriously, it was just as bad as every other relationship on the show in terms of it's fakosity levels. The idea that somehow Dair was some throughout deep storyline and friendship into love thing, is just laughable to me. It was as plot driven and fake, and ultimately horribly done, as anything else on the show.
Which would have been fine, because I ultimately only judged the show by it's entertainment value, but that's where I found it THE absolutely most lacking. The forced romcom "banter" was beyond cliche and worse...DULL. I mean seriously guys, I've seen tons of takes on It's Happened One Night or His Girl Friday in movie or tv form since I was a young child. But even as cliche as that can be, it can still be alright with good acting/writing or barring that, good chemistry. Dair has none of the above.
And hell, in S5 there wasn't even the pretty with Dair as Blair's hair looked straggly, her outfits horrible and PB's hair? DUDE. It made me long for the days of S1's Chuck with his horrible, outmoded Brutus cut thing happening. PB made Dan look like he smelled, even through my teevee. I get that hipster him didn't care about GG (and really, who should) but during the show they should have made him cut his hair. Or at least look like his character invested in any kind of personal hygiene.
