I never went out for it because my mother drilled into my head that NYC is crazy on NYE, plus it's cold, so why go out? That became my usual behavior so I never thought to change it. Then after college I didn't have a job or enough money, so why bug my friends into going out on an expensive night.

Now I have the money but no one wants to go out! I was supposed to make plans with my cousin but that fell through. :(
