voices that blew my socks off. As much as I enjoyed Hugh Grant I have always thought his voice was just mediocre...going way back to his Oscar musical number. But paired with the performances I thought the singing worked for the most part and as Crowe stated the director wanted the vocals raw which I heard a few times throughout. So I see what Lambert is saying and it's just a matter of if it works for you in this musical setting.
