supermarket. They had most of the items I ordered accept the one thing I wanted the most — a 3-4 lb top round beef roast that was on sale this week. They called me to tell me that they could deliver my order to me today and then, in the morning, when the butcher is back in, they will send a roast over to me separately.
One of these days I may need to use Instacart. But I have to say that the service is really good when you know both the store manager and the woman who shops your order by name and have talked to them both on the phone, not just messaging through an app or a third party. I’m a real fan of keeping human-to-human contact alive, if not in person, at least on the phone. This is why I also call restaurants directly to order instead of using third party apps. We are real people to each other.
