And then somehow very put off that the answer was just "No. Stop it."

I find Alison very mild in her advice much of the time (thinking of her more infamous letters, like the guy who ghosted his GF of several years, who he lived with, only to end up with her as his boss several years later) but the leap day birthday clearly hit her breaking point.
