I admit, I didn't watch Roseanne much when it first aired (Mom never liked how Roseanne and Dan treated their kids). I've watched many episodes in reruns but certainly not all of them, so I can't speak too much to canon versus another reality but even *I* remember Fred, Andy and Jerry. And of course DJ, Mary and...uh....Mary's mom from the reboot. things I will never not be salty about regarding the reboot...

1. Jerry being mentioned once in season one and never mentioned again. I wouldn't even care if they never cast Jerry; just mention his whereabouts from time to time and make excuses for his absence in important moments such as Dan and Louise's wedding.

2. The total erasure of Fred and Andy. Again, I wouldn't care if we never saw Fred, just heard Jackie complain about her deadbeat ex or something. But Andy should've been an integral part of the reboot. It would've been fun seeing Jackie "parenting" her adult child (who IIRC wouldn't be much older than Harris).

3. Including DJ in the reboot (and why wouldn't they? He was a main character in the original), giving him his own family, a promising storyline (being married to a woman in the military, raising a biracial daughter practically by himself), and then bam, he's gone and never mentioned again. There's still time to reference him, especially if this is the last season (as many of us hope).

4. David the deadbeat father. No. No, no, no, no, NO. I was especially enraged when Mark graduated and was hoping his dad would be there only for David to be a no-show. OG David would not only have been there, he'd have been all teary over the occasion.

5. This entire Mark going to college nonsense. Not that he went to college but HOW he got to college.

6. Almost everything else that came about via either odd coincidence or sloppy writing. Which is...almost everything.
