likely never be a billionaire, or even a millionaire, and really, not even a "high six digit-aire", so the only way I'm going to get to see inside these 5 star places is to watch someone else go inside them. And I'm totally cool with that.

Now OTOH, I have a (very small) issue with Guy Fieri's show "Diners, Drive Ins and Dives". Because he long ago ran out of actual diners, drive ins and dives and started going to places where the burgers are going to cost you $20. I went once to a Mexican restaurant on Cleveland's near west side--Momocho--because it had been featured on "Triple D". I got an entrée and a dessert, no drink (I just had water) and my bill was almost $30. And this was over 15 years ago, when the same thing at another Mexican restaurant would've cost maybe $15. The place was small but it certainly wasn't a dive (or a diner or a drive in). I will say...I wasn't overly impressed with my meal (it wasn't bad, it just wasn't exceptional) except for the pineapple salsa, which was phenomenal. I asked the waiter for a to go container for the rest of my chips and a smaller container for the tiny bit of salsa left over, and I told him the salsa was amazing, possibly the best I ever had. He came back not only with a to go bag for the chips, he also brought a pretty good-sized plastic container filled with more pineapple salsa, and he didn't charge me anything for it. That amount of salsa in the store would've been a good $5...it was a lovely gesture, and although I've never been back to Momocho, I have no problem recommending the place to other people.

Back to the subject of travel shows...I used to watch Samantha Brown travel to places (mostly in the US) but I had to give up because I felt the content was too bland. I've not watched in a while, so maybe things have changed but when I *was* watching, SB was always making these inane comments, like, she'd walk into the hotel room and say "Oh, this is nice!" and then pull open the door to the closet and say "here's the closet!" even though it was painfully obvious what the door opened up to, then she'd walk into the bathroom and say "there's the sink...an oh, here's the shower...", blah blah blah. Bff and I both used to lament that *we* could easily have a travel show and blather on, making the same banal comments as SB.
