He must have a wife or at least a baby mama back in England which is why I'm not so keen on the idea of the love story here. Also, I don't believe her husband is really dead. Not until I see a body. LOL! I'd much rather just watch Blackthorne and Toranaga scheming together, maybe even against each other a bit.
