We are planning to go to the Oregon coast in 2025 and take day trips into northern California and Washington state.
Oooh...if you come into North State CA, I can give recos. Lavabeds (way up in Modoc I think and not Siskiyou), Shasta Lake and Redding, Mt. Lassen in Lassen Co). All along the Cascades range and all volcanic, so very cool.
I haven't been to Del Norte or Humboldt on the CA northern coast, just Mendo, which we adore.
