FIRMLY a suburbanite. I don't want to live in the far out country, where "town" is one gas station, one greasy spoon restaurant and probably a Dollar General. To me, "civilization" is being no more than 30 minutes from a big box store. OTOH, cities are generally too busy, too noisy and too full of glass and concrete for me. I'm not sure I want to ever live somewhere without a yard.

That being said...I freakin' LOVED Boston. I've been to a handful of big cities--NYC, LA, Chicago, Dallas, Baltimore, Detroit, Atlanta and a few others--and I enjoyed all of them for different reasons. But Boston was the only city I could actually see myself living in. I loved the history and the friendliness of the residents.
