a pear is as long as it's not spoiled. I know my brother's kids have a subscription to...one of the online places that specifically sell fruits and veggies that didn't make the cut.

For example, the critterz love Purely Fancy Feast, but it was discontinued. GO is selling tons of them for 99 cents each. They were normally over $2 in other stores. Grabbing whatever I can!

As you should! I was lucky in that Leo wasn't terribly picky (the only cat food he wouldn't eat was, of course, the healthy expensive stuff that he was supposed to eat to slow the progression of his kidney disease) but one of my friends (or maybe "fond acquaintance" would be more accurate) had a cat that was a SUPER picky eater. When the manufacturer discontinued the only flavor Mr. Picky would eat, they offered free cans of the discontinued flavor to anyone who asked for it, along with a new flavor that was similar to the old one. This was a while ago, so I've forgotten how many free cans you got...he idea was you were supposed to mix the new food with the old and gradually decrease the amount of the old food until the cat had acclimated. Mr. Picky refused to acclimate, which is how I, and a number of other people who at that time didn't own a cat, wound up calling the cat food company and requesting the old food for "our" picky eaters.
