posts I've made about it <g>, Sis and BIL will be up for the eclipse. Vacationing with them always becomes a "thing", with plans made and plans changed and plans abandoned. So far, the "plan" is to *maybe* see them tomorrow if they decide to go to West Side Market. They check out of their hotel Saturday morning; we're *maybe* meeting for brunch at a local place I really like, and then they *might* go driving for a while, then they're heading back here to stay the next three nights and we *might* get Guido's pizza for dinner. Sunday, Sis wants to go to the church my nephew plays piano/organ at; *if* she does, I'll join her. Then the rest of Sunday is supposed to be some kind of "family day"...what that means, I have not the vaguest idea.

I already put my foot down regarding Eclipse Day. Cleveland is already going to be overflowing with visitors for the Guardians' home opener (set for 5:15; fans can come at noon and stay to watch the eclipse), people leaving after the NCAA Women's basketball championship game Sunday and the Cleveland Film festival, which runs from April 3-21. My nephew lives in a suburb just outside of Cleveland; BIL suggested we go to his house to watch the eclipse because, and I quote, "there's a bunch of restaurants nearby". Which a) why would I fight traffic to go watch the eclipse on my nephews admittedly lovely but SMALL deck when I have a nice, big backyard and a kitchen stocked with snacks and a closet full of clothes to change into in case it goes from 30 degrees to 80 and back again like it sometimes does in spring and fall here and b) it's not like my town doesn't have restaurants. Not as many as are on the street near my nephew's house but the restaurants there are a weird mix of snooty and sketchy...pass. Plus, I don't even want to attempt a restaurant Monday night, especially since there's (allegedly) going to be several meals out with the family in the proceeding days. I *will* be a bit sorry if everyone else is going to be there and it's just Dad and me at our house but eh, such is life.

Yesterday, I spent two hours (on and off) deep cleaning my bedroom. This morning, it was about 90 minutes (on and off) deep cleaning the living room. Later today, I'm tackling the kitchen, then tomorrow hopefully the bathroom.

Is it wrong that I'm already kind of looking forward to next Tuesday, when Sis and BIL leave for home?
