the person they hired didn't work out and they reached out to encourage me to reapply (different hiring committee).
LOL *sigh* Part of me is "you had your chance", part of me is like "yeah, I should reapply", part of me is "they've already rejected you for a Ph.D and this same instructor position, fool me once...fool me twice...do I be fooled a third time?"
Like...I doubt you'd be having to redo this job search if you had hired me in the first place...
This semester has not been going well in the online course I ended up teaching...it's triggered my burn out, which I was FINALLY starting to recover from, and I've been physically ill the past week or so just from the stress of this job, let alone the toll on my mental health. It's made me decide against trying for a Ph.D again for sure and more determined to get out of teaching...
