I love wildflowers too and those spring beauties are pretty. This time a year here we get a lot of bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes and more. When I was young, my mom would also plant daffodils in our yard. Love those too.

Love all of those flowers! I planted daffodils for the first time a couple years ago (actually, it must've been 2021...we got Leo in 2022 and had I known that daffodils are poisonous for cats, I never would've bought them). My daffodils bloomed later this year than most people's daffodils, and for a bit, I was worried that what I thought was daffodil leaves were actually the leaves of the stupid yucca plant I can't get rid of (I dug it up years ago but the roots go deep and every year since, I get shoots). But they're blooming now and they're lovely!

My Astros are off to a bad start. I know everyone hates them now, and I get it, but I've been a fan for about 25 years, and it's a hard habit to break. My Spurs are also out of the playoffs.

I get this. My love for Cleveland's baseball team was reignited in the mid 1990s when we had so many superstars and went to the World Series twice (and of course didn't win). During those years, we had Albert Belle. He was a great, great player...and a not so great person. And yet I found myself defending him to out of towners. It was when I was in Dallas earnestly trying to defend Belle for the previous Halloween when he tried to run over some kids who'd egged his car that I realized I'd gone a bit too far :-/
