I had a lovely visit with my uncle and his wife (she's younger than me so she prefers I not call her my aunt). We surprised him, and he was so delighted! I also got to spend a lot of time with Judy. We really click and now talk several times a week. A new friend and family member!
And I bought LW a really nice Levi's winter coat for just $47. It would be $120 anywhere else! OMG, we are so price gouged in CA.
Unfortunately after I left, Uncle M started having episodes of delirium. During the third night with little sleep, Judy called an ambulance. He's in the hospital now. The cause was swelling on the brain, and a possible UTI (which will cause delirium).
My idiot cousin came up from FL to visit him, and he was actually helpful, which surprised Judy, because he's a self-centered YKW.
They did have an argument about his remains (when the time comes) on Sunday, and after that Judy called me up screaming, she was so angry and upset.
We are actually going to get his ashes and place them next to my brother Chris. He and Uncle Marty were very close. Our house is turning into a mausoleum :/
Today I fly down to Pasadena for a work trip.
It's great to be back!
