A lot has been made among my co-workers about how there's less time between Thanksgiving and Christmas and therefore "fewer shopping days". As if you can't start Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving <g>. I usually don't--if I shop too soon, I forget where I stored gifts--and this year, things are even weirder. I still have no idea what Sis' family and I are doing regarding gifts this Christmas. Last year, Bro's family and I decided we were done with gift giving. We're all poor and don't ever have a clue what to get one another, so we feel now that a get together around the holidays, with a good meal, is gift enough. But Sis likes presents. Not in a greedy "that's (not) what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown" kind of way; she has a big heart and loves to buy things for people. She once told me it doesn't feel like Christmas to her without gifts--gifts under the tree from loved ones and gifts she's shopped for and wrapped and in some cases sent out--so I feel she might be expecting something this year but I just don't know. Right now, since most of HER family is also poor, I'm leaning towards no gifts but I'm unsure whether to contact her, to wait for her to contact me or to just send no gifts and then wait for her reaction.
