Center Christmas Connection. I've never been to it because it would pain me to pay $12 to attend ($14 if I pay admission at the door) and because it's on the other side of Cleveland and would be almost an hour's drive. But I would love to attend some day.
I used to grumble a little about the price of crafts at craft shows but then I realized I was being uncharitable. Craft supplies cost money, and crafting takes a lot of time sometimes and crafters often want to get paid for their labor, so if it's a good product, I absolutely don't mind spending more...as long as it's clear the crafter used good materials or has some talent in making what they make. I still love the increasingly rare vendor who isn't in it to supplement their income; they just like doing what they do and meeting people at craft shows. At the show last weekend, the people making homemade chocolates absolutely could charge more and probably not lose a lot of business. My good church friend has a doll she likes to dress; there's a vendor at this particular show who's there every year with racks of homemade doll clothes, all of which look nicer than what you'd get at Target or Walmart...and all for $5. And in the summer, there's a "fine arts show" that sometimes features an older man who loves making small outdoor sculptures out of metal. He sells most of his pieces for way less than he probably *should* charge but he has said he's not in it for the money, he's in it for the love of metalworking and seeing the pleasure his pieces give his customers.
