I saw your post before but I had only watched the first 2 episodes. I finally binged the last 3 yesterday.
Yeah. I am pissed at greedy Netflix for giving them 15 episodes and then breaking it up into 3 parts. Who does that? If anything--they could have done first 8 and then remaining 7. This is really killing the momentum. I imagine the creators pushed back and lost that battle.
I love the show, but I feel like something has been missing in season 6. It could be that the cast is split up due to the tournament. I am also over Danie's obsession with Miyagi's secret and beyond over the Tori/Robbie drama. I don't think their love or relationship was that intense to merit both of them being so distracted and screwing up so royally. Daniel/Johnny should have benched Robbie a long time ago. I also became annoyed by the fart and MIT conversation. Like they had it 3 times.
And what the hell was up with Johnny leaving Daniel when dude was clearly a better fighter? Daniel came to help him and Johnny bounced 2 minutes later LOL. If I were Daniel, I'd be pissed at him.
The Good
The location and scenery were beautiful. What a treat for the cast.
I'm glad they found a way to get Kenny over there. He has grown and I'm calling it now--Kenny and Devin are going to date. Axel and his crush on Sam was a little OTT. All of that from just talking for a few hours? Come on dude. If they had kissed--I might get it. She told him she had a bf. Why is he still carrying the torch?
I can't believe someone died. That was shocking. I really thought Kwan was going to accidentally stab Daniel. I could not stand him, so I'm not torn up that he's dead. But those poor teens are traumatized. I agree with you. Where the hell was security? Why didn't an adult in the room call the cops? That being said--that brawl was epic. The choreography was amazing and the editing was top-notch. That being said, I still would rank the school brawl higher. The hallways scene was one continuous shot. Here is a cool video where the cast breaks down the school fight--shot by shot. They give some very cool behind-the-scenes tea.
