but I keep falling in love with various novelty artificial trees like this one or this one

I could *maybe* fit a slim tree inside somewhere (though one on the front porch--small as it is--would be fun). And I'm now regretting giving away (to a co-worker at the bindery) the small silver tinsel tree I used to put on my dresser. I do have a TON of small (4"-12") trees in different styles that I put on various surfaces: bottle brush trees, glass trees, trees made from a simple wood triangle, etc.--but you can't decorate those.
