With both the girls home for the Thanksgiving holiday and the workers not here on Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Friday, I got to silently enjoy the new space.
We figure out how to get the motion-detector lights to remain on (the girls were sitting outside in the middle of the night. One was vaping and they were chatting. They didn't want to have to wave at the lights or run around to keep them on. It was an easy thing to do.
The tile should arrive at the store next week. Just a matter of scheduling the install at that point. Most of the baseboards are tacked to the wall with one or two nails. They can't be permanently installed until the tiles are installed. They're trying to get everything done so I can have the room for Christmas. No replacement door to replace the one with two places for hardware. They haven't put the hardware in the doors that we know are right. No toilet. Not in that much of a hurry about the baseboard, but I'd really like to have the toilet installed.
We'll see what the next week brings. I'm calling a concrete company or two to get an estimate to have someone else do the concrete for the area around the new room and the back of the house, just one side of the area, or just to install a small patio in lieu of a stoop by the single door and something on the back area. I'm hoping to get the whole wrap done, even though I won't have a cover for it. That can be done later. The key is having the electrical wiring that would allow us to add electricity to the storage shed accessible without having to break open the concrete or run something up/over/through the concrete later.
Still hopeful.
