I'd told the contractor that the lights turn on and off when it turn them on, flipped a switch...and they turned on...like regular lights. Sunday, they did the whole show, so I got my phone, recorded a short clip, and sent it to the contractor this morning.
I called the tile folks to see if the tile had arrived. I think I ordered them the day before Thanksgiving, so the holiday may have caused a bit of a delay. The store is going to check the status and give me an update.
The tile installer sent me a text to find out the status of the tile before I'd called the store. He's trying to figure out the schedule for pick up, delivery, and installation. I think he'd also like to get paid before Christmas.
The concrete guy contacted me this morning. I think he'd like the down payment before Christmas. He won't put me on the schedule until he gets the down payment. Can't say I blame him.
The contractor said that he wants to meet to discuss final details. I think they're hoping to close out everything sooner rather than later. The plumbers came today to do their final touches (a frame around the box where the faucets are for the washer and dryer, did the final work on the clean out opening), so I'm done with them. The locks are done, but two doors still aren't doing what they're supposed to do.
In other news, my debit card was blocked. I tried to use it for the first time at Costco on Friday after getting a new card. The other card had been compromised/hacked. It may have been the amount of the purchase...whatever. By the time I got home, I figured that it was too late to call the branch, so I called the next day. I used their toll-free number and was referred back to my branch...which was closed by then. Turned out, I would have had to go to the branch in person, so it didn't matter. Went today, all reset.
I put up a motion detector activated solar light on the corner of the house. It's not very bright. It may not have been fully charged. I'll try a few more things. My kids were concerned because I was going to use a ladder to set up the light. Such worriers. I want to change out the light in front of the house...but I can't find it. It seems to have moved along during the recent "clean up." Hoping to see it soon so I can change out that light, too.
Hoping that I won't need to get a white suit for the lights in the new room.
