and I understand how a compliment is not very enjoyable if it comes at a cost to a coworker. It’s nice that SM, at least, had a holiday dinner for you, which I assume the company paid for.
The ship model is in my sister’s living room but not exactly on display. It’s on the floor in a corner sticking out of a big basket at an angle. Good thing she doesn’t have a cat right now. When we get around to repairing it, she will likely move it to the top of a bookshelf to display it. I can’t believe my dad had the patience to build it. He didn’t do much of that kind of thing. It must have been pretty amazing to sail on the real Danmark.
