to the "contractor" who basically placed the order, but doesn't communicate worth beans to the workers or to me. We talk when something gets
really screwed up. We'll meet tomorrow at 2pm to discuss...issues like the two doors (one is hard to open, one won't close and is the wrong kind of door...doesn't match the other doors, especially the other one in the two-door set), and the disco lights effect.
On the bright side, my tile guy is fabulous. He finished installing the tile and doing the grout. He texted me that the grout has to cure for at least three days, but we can walk on the tile now. So we're supposed to wait at least three days before we mop the floor. I texted back that we can wait way longer than three days to mop the floor. He'll be back tomorrow to install the baseboards. He said that he thought they'd been cut to fit the walls for installation, but they hadn't been cut to fit together and he hadn't brought his tools. That will be tomorrow's job along with painting the baseboards, as I understand it.
Waiting for my landscaper to call me back about the patio work. I had to cancel because of a funeral on Saturday and there was a work conflict for him. Maybe after Christmas? Definitely having Christmas inside my part of the house, but I haven't committed to the prep work for it. It's gotta be good for me.
