The concrete guys were getting ready to run an electrical line from a box on the outside of the new room to the shed so I'd have an outlet there and have an electric junction for wiring the shed later. Well, they tested the electric line before they started wiring stuff together and found out that it was still hot. No caps on the wire and it could have caught fire. In addition, when I tried to turnoff the circuit, I found out that the circuit in the subpanel was not labeled correctly. It was listed as Circuit 10 along with another Circuit 10. It's actually Circuit 11.

They did the work and placed the outlet at the shed. Lots of options there now.

The rebar and hog wire are in place. The dirt has been tamped down. All the frames are in place. The site is ready for the concrete pour, but that won't happen until Friday. The guy said he'll tape plastic around the back part of the house in case the concrete splashes, which he expects to happen.

We're ready. The dogs have access to the backyard until Friday morning, then they'll be in the side yard for the weekend while the concrete starts to set.

One of the guys who was working the concrete, the head concrete guy, belongs to my religious group! I went out to look at the rebar and the framing, we chatted for a while, then I turned to leave. At that point, he yelled the phrase we use as part of the group. He recognized my lanyard and cross. At that point, we became best friends.

Picked up my new glasses this afternoon (slightly better prescription), had my daughter's new phone set up and the data transferred so I could drop her line (that required her to clear up her Amazon issue - it's still linked to an e-mail she hadn't used in several years and she doesn't know the password. She's been using the app, so she hasn't had to know her password; however, with the new phone, she'd be locked out.), and put out the recycling for tomorrow. Productive day all around!
