I thought my good church friend would like (all with the likeness of Stitch, from Disney's Lilo and Stitch--she loves the little guy). Her birthday is coming up in May, so I thought I'd grab one for her but wasn't sure which one to get. I texted her photos of all four and asked which one she liked best...she never got back to me. Usually she's the quickest of all my peeps to respond to a text so of course this was the one time the phone was on the charger <g>. I left the store without getting any of them...she texted me shortly before I got home, saying she liked the fourth one the best. Good thing I asked, as that was actually my least personal favorite and if I was ranking them in order of which SHE would prefer, I would've put it third. I wasn't in the mood to go back out Thursday night so yesterday morning, I headed out first to a different Big Lots that was close to a library I needed to go to. That BL was completely closed, so I had to go back to the first BL, which was only about 10 minutes away. I'd stuck the four shirts on a rack kind of behind some other shirts, and when I arrived at the first BL, there was only one of the four shirts left...it was the one gcf liked best. God must've wanted her to have it <g>. It was originally $7.99 before tax...I got it for $2.31
after tax. Of course the downside is if it doesn't fit, she can't return it.
I'd forgotten about Party City closing as well. The last time I was at a PC was in 2018, when I was purchasing supplies for the 50th birthday party I was throwing myself. I wanted everything to be blue and gold; blue because my birthday is in September and the September birthstone is a blue sapphire and gold because a 50th wedding anniversary is the "golden" anniversary, plus I was entering my (supposed) golden years. Had I remembered PC was also shuttering its doors forever, I would've hit up the one that was just up the road from the BL I was at Thursday and Friday, just to see what they had.
