Tuesday through Thursday were sunny but not terribly warm. Warm enough though to enjoy a walk outside (except on Thursday when I worked most of the day and came home pretty tired). Today I was off...met a neighbor/friend for coffee at the newest coffee place in my small town (that makes three, all independent places and all of them fabulous in their own way). Even though today is Pi Day, they were already celebrating St. Patrick's Day, with two lovely, lovely men out front dressed head to toe in outfits that screamed "I'm Irish, it's almost St. Patrick's Day and I'm going HARD" and giving out small cookies frosted in gold to look like lucky coins. After a delicious coffee break, I drove to a cute town almost an hour away and walked around the downtown area. I was in a long-sleeved but light shirt and jeans...I actually got a little warm. I had some ice cream for lunch <g>, picked up a small pie for Dad and me for later (the store was selling them at "31.4% off") and happily wandered for a while. I made a stop at the local library to use their bathroom...this town has the most beautiful two-story library with amazing architectural details. Inside, they're featuring a sort of "salute" to WWII, with all sorts of interesting memorabilia on display such as a bugle used during one of the battles, swords, helmets, intricate epaulettes, uniforms of the women that served and much more. It was like a mini museum.
I'm debating if I want to go for a walk around the block now. On the one hand, it's always good to move but OTOH, I walked a LOT around the cute little town this afternoon.
