Right? If they wanted someone who just spent years leading a procedural, why not the now free Shemar Moore?
Also, "captain who works with his son"*, why not just buy the rights to "Lone Star" if they're going to do the same plotline? I'm curious to see the rest of the cast.
It's the same studio as Lone Star. They could have picked up Lone Star the way they did OG 911 if they wanted to but I guess they decided the original always performed better than Lone Star and would be a better leadin to the new version--a version that will be cheaper than Lone Star that was reaching cast renegotiation time.
I'm curious where this show goes with the rest of the characters as well. OG and Lone Star were pretty diverse in casting different races and sexualities. Is that going to continue?
