She's 75 but man, she either types really fast (which is possible; she was an office manager for decades and knows her way around a QUERTY keyboard) or is really good at selecting the right word when it pops up, because often I'm still reading the previous two sentences when she sends the next two. It's exhausting!
Also, I'm generally not someone who amuses myself by "talking" through texting. If you have a lot to say, please call me (I hate talking on the phone with strangers but am happy to hear from friends and family). And while I enjoy the occasional "this might amuse you" text that is usually a gif or a meme or a link to some story, I don't want to spend an HOUR* reading and responding to "I'm bored" texts.
* yep, an hour once with my aunt, who lives alone. She usually packs her day full with volunteering or hanging out at the local senior center but if the weather's bad or she's done volunteering for the day or the senior center is closed and she has nothing else to do, here come the flurry of "I'm bored" texts.
