my "new-to-me" car I bought last year needed some warranty work done (scrapes on the rims/lifting trim on the inside) and a standard oil change/service.
they were unable to complete the warranty work at the same time they did the service, so we took it back on Monday to leave till Wednesday. I was told I probably wouldn't hear from the dealership UNTIL Wednesday.
Wednesday rolls around and no phone call, of course. We called them, they called back and shocker of all shocker, the work isn't done. they need a part. they ordered the part "overnight delivery" but the tech working on MY car is out on Thursdays, but his "colleague would be keeping an eye on things." silly me, that did NOT mean that his colleague would DO THE WORK on Thursday.
So today I'm expecting my car to be finished and will pick it up this afternoon. Except...got another phone call, the part didn't come in YESTERDAY, and it didn't come in TODAY and now it's not expected until TUESDAY and was I okay leaving the car?
I don't HAVE ANOTHER CAR. I have been sitting on my ass inside my house since MONDAY. No errands, no lunches, no going to the market, NOTHING. and they want to know if I'd like to be without transportation for almost a week more?
WHAT would have been so hard about someone calling me on THURSDAY to tell me this so I could make arrangements to go get my car this morning?
we live 40 minutes away from the dealership and it's effing Friday afternoon and I have to go up there to get my car - UNFIXED - and bring it back up next week??
that car isn't going anywhere NEAR the dealership until I know the part is in hand.
jesus, do they think everyone has a couple spare cars laying around? it's no biggie to let your car sit in a lot for a week waiting for a TRIM PIECE?!
i just want to go get lunch. i need to pick up some hairspray and the cats are out of treats. lol
