(and now I want tacos...or pho <g>).

My "curse" is that I can't tolerate spicy foods. I've read you can train yourself to tolerate higher levels of heat but I've also read that only works if it's only your tongue that's set on fire at the first bite of something spicy. I can deal with the fire in my mouth but spicy foods also set fire to my tummy :-(

On a related note, I also really don't like onions, and because I have high BP and have a family history of heart problems (Dad has congestive heart failure), I try to limit the salt in my diet. So of course any time I'm watching a cooking show or Drive-ins, Diners and Dives, every (savory) dish is liberally salted, often smothered in onions and/or made with Scotch bonnets or habaƱero peppers.
