(depending on when they feel like driving back home). The reason for this visit? A fish fry. No, seriously...every year between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday, a number of NE Ohio churches and restaurants host fish frys on Friday nights. I thought this was a nationwide thing--Catholics reside in every state, after all--but apparently it's more regional. Nobody does fish frys in Greensboro, NC, so Sis decided she wanted to come up here and go to one, specifically the one at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cleveland Heights, which is rumored to be the best in town. I don't know if it's the best; I'm a bit disappointed that it's not AYCE, but they do also sell homemade baked goods popular in Greece (and Greek-American homes). I went to a Greek festival at this church once and remember getting some uh-MAY-zing baklava there.
Folks keep asking me "what else are you going to do when your sister is here?" and my answer is the usual: who knows <g>? She always has grand plans to do this and that but they're always changing so I've learned to (mostly) just go with the flow.
