That's a great play. I'm trying to work out who is playing who. Is Odenkirk playing Shelly? I can see Keiran as Roma. And it wouldn't surprise me if Burr is the guy who gets the "second prize is a set of steak knives" guy.
Shelly. BB played Moss, the guy who came up with the idea of stealing the leads. It was at the Palace Theater, which is a big theater that usually has big musicals. Some people questioned booking such a big theater for this play. But last night was a Tuesday evening and the performance was sold out. Most of this limited run is sold out. They’ve extended by two weeks twice. It’s nice to see theater back and thriving. The tix prices are ridiculous though so I can’t go as often as I used to. There are ways to get good discounts such as by having a membership with the Theater Development Fund, which I do. But some shows are so hot that discounts are hard or impossible to get. We got great seats at a “decent” price only because we bought them the minute they went on sale. My seat cost $100. The person sitting in the row behind me paid $300. That’s crazy.
There is talk about this production doing an all-female cast of GGR after this cast is done. But I highly doubt that will actually happen.
Edit: these posts always make me miss Esther so much.
I think of Esther often when I go to the theatre. She loved theatre so much.
