Star Toomey was whacky but in a good way. Talk about a big personality. She was snapping selfies with everyone. On the last night we had a retro/decades party and I wore this psychedelic shirt and a dollar sign $ silver medallion. Star was like you look amazing. I love this shirt and then she touch the $ and was like, does this spin and it did spin and she took off running with her hands in the air. It was so funny and then she came back and asked: where did you get this because I want one! LOVE LOVE LOVED her.
And I saved the best for last. After I checked in, I was walking to my room and there was this woman about 15 feet in front of me and she was talking loudly, leaving a vmail: "Carolyn, pick up your damn phone. I've been calling you. Got me coming all the way over here to find you. Pick up." Then she realized I was behind her and she turned around and this is what happened.
Lady: I'm so sorry sweetie. I didn't know you were there.
Me: No worries. I'm just trying to find my room.
Lady: How are you sweetie? Are you here for the event?
Me: Yes ma'am. First timer.
Lady: Oh that's so exciting. You are going to love it.
Me: Thank you. I'm excited. But nervous, because my two friends canceled on me so I'm here solo.
Lady: You are going to meet a ton of people and make a lot of friends. Watch and see.
Me: Thanks. You look like Sandra from Survivor.
Lady: I am Sandra from Survivor.
Me: 🤦🏽♂️ I feel like such a dork.
Sandra: You're fine don't worry about it.
Me: I'm Antwon from Chicago. I can't believe I didn't recognize you.
Sandra: Give me a hug Antwon from Chicago. I'll see you around and we'll take a picture okay?
Me: I look forward to it.
