a short message something along the lines of “You and your family are in my prayers. Wishing you comfort and peace”. I know that sounds like a sympathy card but is it an inappropriate message to a struggling family at Christmas? If your cards in past years didn’t rekindle your friendship, I doubt that a card this year would either. But the tiny act of sending a card seems like the kind thing to do. What harm could it do? And it might be a little emotional support for them to find a Christmas card in the mail amongst the bills. I am wondering why the card came from Becky’s husband, not Becky. What happened to Becky?
